911 Telecommunicator

The City of Carrollton is seeking applicants for the position of 911 Telecommunicator. Successful applicants must complete a 4-week training program at DOCJT in Richmond, KY plus annual training; must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test. Hours will be nights, weekends, and holidays with 4 - 10-hour, or 2 - 12-hour and 2 - 8-hour shifts.  Mandatory overtime, as needed. Starting pay for Recruit Telecommunicator:  $45,500.00 ($21.87/hr).  Salary increases to $48,336.47 ($23.23/hr) after completing training. Increased pay for certified lateral telecommunicators who have obtained KLEC CDP Certifications in Intermediate and Advanced Telecommunicator, and Terminal Agency Coordinator ($49,786.56 - $56,408.18).  Benefits include CERS Non-Hazardous retirement, Family medical, dental, and vision insurance.  Option to participate in Kentucky Deferred Compensation Plan.

Certified Police Officer & Police Recruit

The City of Carrollton is seeking applicants for the positions of Certified Police Officer & Police Recruit.  Currently POPS certified is preferred.  Position is salary grade 26 with beginning salary range $48368.44 - $51584.00 with competitive benefit package.  Applicants must be willing to work irregular hours and days; of good health; free from alcohol and drug dependency and a resident of Kentucky at time of appointment.  Applicants must be 21 years of age; be a high school graduate or have completed G.E.D. examination; and possess a valid operator's license.  Applicants must be able to pass a medical examination; pass a drug screen; successfully undergo a background investigation.
